Rinesh was a recipient of the Australia Awards scholarship and recently completed his studies from Murdoch University in 2020, studying Environmental Engineering. Rinesh’s research interests lie mostly in renewable energy sources like biomass and hydrogen fuel cells. In particular, the conversion process of biomass to biodiesel and developing a circular economy around the use of hydrogen as an energy storage mechanism. Other interests include water treatment, specifically seawater desalination. Seawater desalination is basically the separation of the salts from water to produce clean drinking water. Rinesh’s honours thesis revolved around the use of membranes as a means of producing clean water and reducing energy consumption. Apart from academics, Rinesh enjoys reading and playing online games.
